Authority Board

The Portland Area Fire Authority Board meets the second Monday of each month at the Emergency Services Building, Portland Township Meeting Room, 773 E Grand River Ave., Portland, MI  48875

The Meeting is opened to the public pursuant to the Open Meetings act.  Individuals with disabilities requiring auxiliary aids or services for the meeting may obtain a Request for Accommodations form at the Fire Department, Emergency Services Building, 773 East Grand River Ave., Portland, MI, or from this site, or call the ADA Coordinator 517-647-4111 to have a form mailed to you.  A request for accommodation form must be received five days prior to the meeting date.

Department Budget:

The Authority Board, in conjunction with the Chief and staff, develops both short term and long term needs assessments, as reflected in the budget.  The Department is funded under agreement with the City and Townships according to an agreed upon formula, and the municipalities approve of the budget and funding yearly.
